Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. popularly known as Shatta Wale is a Ghanaian singer and songwriter, born on the 17th of October, 1984 in Ghana. His father is Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. a politician while his mother is Elsie Evelyn Avemegah. While at Seven Great Princes Academy an elementary school in Accra, he performed in a good number of plays, as he had desire for acting. 

Music Career

He was formerly Identity-Doggy a name he borrowed from his idol, who was dancehall singer named “Yoggy-Doggy”. As time went on he changed his name to “Bandana” as he dropped a hit song titled “Moko Ho” which blew him to fame, then all of a sudden his music career died for years, Shatta Wale was dropping bangers any longer.

As time went on he became to the afro music (Ghana in particular), giving himself a new name “Shata Wale”. He has feature a good number of international arts like Beyonce, Rihanna and the rest of them.

There was a time faked a news of being shot and was in medical care, I would say he did this for fame, but it later made him apprehended by the Ghana Police for disseminating false information.
