Do you know that Olamide is one of best Yoruba Nigerian music artist? Of course, it is true, but you may not know, he can be compared to late Nigerian singer and songwriter, Dagrin in terms of style, the biography, awards, songs and other facts about him wouldn’t be complete, if his mentor isn’t mentioned.

Origin:

Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, is a Nigerian singer, rapper, songwriter and label boss, known by his stage/real name Olamide, he also called Badoo. He was born on the 15th of march 1989. He hails from lagos and his second child out three children of his father.

Olamide started life in Lagos, where he grew, was a good boy and had passion for music at tender age. His siblings, Temmy Gold and Eniola Olamilekan are his siblings, as the later, is a popular disc jockey in Lagos, Nigeria.

Education:

Olamide Badooo was formerly a student of Mass Communication at Tai Solarin University, but dropped out due to financial problems, this has always been one of the reason why people drop out of school, lack of funds.

Music Career:

The music journey was really easy for Olamide, he has been making covers of songs, for a very long time, one-day luck found himself as he met ID Cabasa. Now you may not know of ID Cabasa, ID Cabasa has a record label, which is called “Coded Tunez”, this was the record label that help olamide before he attained this height today.

His first album was “Eni Duro” which was released in 2010, in the same he performed at the Hip-Hop World Awards.

He got signed into “Coded Tunes” in 2012, after releasing a good number of songs, one of his album is titled “Rhapsodi” having a “Omo to Shan” as its lead single.

Still in 2012, Badoo left coded Tunes and created his own record label Yahoo Boys No Laptop, abbreviated as YBNL, coming to think of it, you may wonder why he choose that name. This record having him as the Chief Executive Officer, has produced a good number of artist now, which includes the likes of Asake, Fireboy, Portable etc.
