The Biography wouldn’t be complete, if the origin of this great musical icon isn’t stated. Michael Collins Ajereh is a Nigeria singer, songwriter and record label boss, who goes by the stage name Don Jazzy. He was born on the 26th of November, 1982, in Umuahia, Abia State Nigeria. His mother is an Igbo princess, while his father is a member of the Isoko People.

Education:

At a tender age, Don Jazzy’s parent moved to Ajekunle, Lagos state where he had completed his education, he is among one of the many Nigerian celebrities, given quality education. While in school, he found interest in music, as he learnt how to play musical instruments, like Guitar and the rest of them.

He studied Business Management at Ambrose Ali University Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria.

A cool fact about Jazzy, is his music career, how did he started? Records has it that he started the Mohits Record label, with D’banj and it lasted for only two years, later it was changed to Mavin Record, before this, they made a song together, titled “No Long Tin and Rundown/Funk You Up”.

Mavin Record was created on the 7th of May 2012, prior to this Don Jazzy, was formerly a beat producer at Very Good Beatz, which was owned by Kenye West. Mavin record, has produced a good number of musical artist, which are Crayon, Ladipoe, Dr. Sid, Korede Bello, Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, Maggix, Boyspyce etc. It also has a sub-label, which owned by his younger brother, D’Prince, who is also a signee of his Mavin label, with the label known as “Jonzing World”, this music record label has produced good artist, like Ruger, Rema etc.
